Our recruitment agency is currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager on behalf of one of our clients operating in the property development and corporate services sectors.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and preparing monthly management accounts for several entities within the group. Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner.
· Maintain and improve internal controls by developing and documenting accounting processes.
· Support the annual budgeting process and assist in preparing the yearly business plan.
· Liaise with external auditors and ensure all requirements are met ahead of audit deadlines.
· Provide financial insights and assistance to board members and senior management.
· Oversee accounts payable, including processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and making payments.
· Manage intercompany billing and reconciliation of intercompany balances.
· Perform monthly bank reconciliations in line with internal procedures.
· Monitor daily cash balances and update weekly cashflow forecasts.
· Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including:
• Profit and Loss Statement.
• Balance Sheet.
• Cashflow Forecast.
Requirements:
· A degree in Accounting or a fully qualified ACCA certification.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Familiarity with Shireburn Accounting software will be considered an asset.
· Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
· Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
· A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a finance team.
· Capable of leading change, driving improvements, and taking initiative in problem-solving.
