The Role
We are seeking an experienced Storekeeper to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our client. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient handling, storage, and dispatching of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the warehouse is organized and compliant with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock and materials, ensuring accuracy in quantities and quality.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and easy retrieval of items.
- Manage inventory levels and update stock records regularly, using inventory management systems.
- Prepare and process orders for dispatch, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers and other departments to resolve discrepancies in orders or stock levels.
- Perform regular stock counts and assist with periodic inventory audits.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations within the warehouse.
- Keep the store area clean, organized, and in compliance with company procedures.
Qualifications/Requirement
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar warehouse/inventory management role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and systems.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification is a plus).
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including inventory software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
