The Role
Our client is looking for a Section Leader to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Commissioning machines in collaboration with foreign suppliers and administering acceptance tests on site.
- Implementing engineering best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing.
- Training and certifying employees on the use of machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Overseeing trials and initial runs for new items/materials, including design setting and follow-up adjustments/modifications.
- Providing timely support to production departments, including comprehensive supervision and leading fault-finding approaches when needed.
Qualifications/Requirement
- Relevant technical qualification at least at MQF Level 4.
- Fluency in English and another European language, preferably Maltese, for effective communication.
- Proficiency in IT software, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Several years of relevant work experience, including technical fault-finding and leading others.
- Interest in emerging technology related to automation.
