Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Provide bedside care for a range of patients, including pre- and post-surgery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including vital signs and medical information.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions, administer prescribed medications, and document accordingly.
- Report adverse drug reactions immediately.
- Educate patients and families on managing illnesses or surgeries, focusing on home care.
- Respond to emergencies and life-saving situations promptly.
- Ensure outpatient rooms are stocked and equipped for consultations.
- Manage clinic stock, including consumables and medications.
- Maintain a clean and safe clinic environment.
Qualifications/Requirement
- Nursing degree and registration with Malta’s Nurse and Midwifery Council.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proficiency with hospital information systems and computer literacy.
- Strong knowledge of nursing care methods, emergency care, and excellent communication skills.
- Effective teamwork, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and think creatively.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
