Group Sales Manager

Are you a dynamic sales professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a Senior Sales Executive to join our client team and drive group accommodation bookings in both the Leisure segment and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) sector.

Job Description

Some of responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive group sales strategy: Identify target markets, set sales goals, and create action plans to achieve them. Your focus will be on maximizing revenue and occupancy across our properties.
  • Proactively source and secure new group business: Conduct market research, identify potential leads, and actively solicit new clients through various channels, including networking, industry events, and direct sales efforts.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships: Cultivate lasting partnerships with key decision-makers, understanding their needs and tailoring our offerings to create bespoke experiences that exceed their expectations.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals: Prepare compelling proposals, negotiate favorable terms, and secure contracts that are mutually beneficial.
  • Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with our operations, marketing, and revenue management teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to adapt our sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Track and analyze sales performance: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate reports, and provide insights to optimize sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.

Qualifications/Requirement

  • Proven experience in group sales within the hospitality industry: You have a demonstrable track record of success in driving group revenue and exceeding sales targets. Ideally, you will have at least three years of sales experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the Maltese hospitality market: You possess in-depth knowledge of the local market, key players, and emerging trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills: You’re a natural relationship builder with the ability to connect with clients, understand their needs, and present compelling solutions.
  • A strategic and results-oriented mindset: You’re adept at developing and executing sales plans, analyzing data, and making data-driven decisions.
  • A proactive and self-motivated individual: You’re a go-getter who takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and drives results with minimal supervision.
  • A team player with a collaborative spirit: You thrive in a team environment and are eager to work with colleagues across different departments to achieve common goals.
  • Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of other languages would be highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency in using hotel CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
