Some of responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive group sales strategy: Identify target markets, set sales goals, and create action plans to achieve them. Your focus will be on maximizing revenue and occupancy across our properties.
- Proactively source and secure new group business: Conduct market research, identify potential leads, and actively solicit new clients through various channels, including networking, industry events, and direct sales efforts.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships: Cultivate lasting partnerships with key decision-makers, understanding their needs and tailoring our offerings to create bespoke experiences that exceed their expectations.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals: Prepare compelling proposals, negotiate favorable terms, and secure contracts that are mutually beneficial.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with our operations, marketing, and revenue management teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Stay ahead of industry trends: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to adapt our sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Track and analyze sales performance: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate reports, and provide insights to optimize sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
Qualifications/Requirement
- Proven experience in group sales within the hospitality industry: You have a demonstrable track record of success in driving group revenue and exceeding sales targets. Ideally, you will have at least three years of sales experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the Maltese hospitality market: You possess in-depth knowledge of the local market, key players, and emerging trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills: You’re a natural relationship builder with the ability to connect with clients, understand their needs, and present compelling solutions.
- A strategic and results-oriented mindset: You’re adept at developing and executing sales plans, analyzing data, and making data-driven decisions.
- A proactive and self-motivated individual: You’re a go-getter who takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and drives results with minimal supervision.
- A team player with a collaborative spirit: You thrive in a team environment and are eager to work with colleagues across different departments to achieve common goals.
- Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of other languages would be highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in using hotel CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
