Job Description
The Corporate Sales Manager is expected to understand market trends and competitor activity to recommend sales strategies to maximise accommodation and events revenue through local and international Corporate companies.
The Role
Corporate Sales Manager is the role requires a strong team player with a proactive mindset to source, convert and nurture potential leads via phone, email or face to face meetings.
Some of responsibilities:
- Manage and strengthen the relation with existing Corporate clients to maximise all business opportunities
- Utilise all possible prospecting resources to generate new leads
- Negotiate rates and pricing with the scope of maximising all revenue streams
- Conduct hotel inspection visits for potential bookings
- Hosting of clients for lunches or dinners or as may be required
- Create an effective sales strategy to grow Corporate business (accommodation & events)
- Preparing Corporate agreements in line with company policy and procedures
- Supporting the overall sales team in achieving sales budget on all segments through a pro-active approach such as following up all direct sales leads in an accurate and timely manner to maximise revenue
- Work alongside the Director of Sales and Group Revenue Manager to develop an optimum pricing strategy
- Attend weekly Sales Meetings and other required meetings as indicated by the Director of Sales
- Participate in local and international networking events and trade shows as required from time to time
- Produce timely and accurate reports as requested by the Director of Sales
Qualifications/Requirement
- A positive can-do attitude with excellent communication skills
- Client-focused approach with the ability to build solid and long-lasting relationships
- Have a pro-active approach and experience working in a busy hotel environment
- Able to work flexible hours and on own initiative
- Commitment to deliver a high level of customer and client service
- Results driven and ambitious individual
Preferred
- Knowledge of Opera PMS system
- Strong working knowledge of Corporate segments
- Minimum of three years experience working in the hospitality sector
- ITS or University of Malta degree in Hospitality Studies preferred
