The Role
A Carpenter constructs, installs, and repairs wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and compliance with design specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints to plan and execute projects.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials.
- Build, install, and repair frameworks, doors, furniture, and fixtures.
- Apply finishes like varnish or paint for protection and aesthetics.
- Ensure safety and adherence to building codes.
Qualifications/Requirement
- Skilled in using carpentry tools and materials.
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret blueprints.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- High school diploma; certification in carpentry is a plus.
