Job Description
Our client is seeking to recruit a Business Intelligence Support Officer. Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager the Officer will assist in the procurement, compilation, analysis interpretation and circulation of accurate, regular and timely statistics in relation to market sales and other related data and information as required by marketing and sales to support the business objectives, decisions, business / brand strategies and the annual planning cycle.
Qualifications/Requirement
- Collecting and compiling regular and updated statistical data and information related to the local macro-economic situation, including tourism, Gross Domestic Product, population trends, inflation, unemployment, etc.
- Compiling and circulating relevant sales data and analysis to marketing and sales staff according to established procedures;
- Assisting marketing and sales management with ad hoc requests for data;
- Maintaining up to date records of consumer and trade price movements for all brands, packages and the various packing types in the portfolio and relevant competing products as provided by the sales and management team, advising management as necessary;
- Ensure and confirm the correct usage of any and all barcodes on packaging materials during the artwork approval process.;
- Any other tasks as directed by the Business intelligence Manager.
Personal Attributes, Skills & Abilities:
- An A level in Mathematics;
- An ability for analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
- Adequate knowledge of data collection methods;
- Be a proficient user of the Microsoft Office (especially Excel);
- The ability to work with accuracy and precision;
- Be organised and meticulous;
- Confidentiality for sensitive information.
