The Role
One of our clients, a leading developer on the island is looking to employ services of Builder.
Responsibilities
- Cutting and shaping bricks/stones as required
- Lifting, carrying and placing prepared blocks
- Shuttering and concrete laying
- Mixing cement and mortar on the job site as needed
- Correct any safety hazards and report them to the Forman in charge
- Put up walls by laying bearing elements (brick, bond stone, gypsum blocks…)
- Build stone walls
- Able to operate common builders machinery
- Assemble support structures (scaffold, braces, platform…)
- Other duties required by position
Qualifications/Requirement
- 2+ years of on-site construction experience
- Must be able to read site plans
- Must be able to read a construction plan
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Good knowledge and practice in Health and Safety procedures
- Self motivated and team player
- People management experience will be considered a plus
